Personal Life
As the child of an immigrant and small business owner, Brigitte experienced an upbringing from a multi-cultural and mixed-economical environment. With much travel, grief, and life experience under her belt by the age of 18, Brigitte embarked on a journey that led her to learn and grow on her own terms. In her twenties, she reconnected with God in deeper ways that previously known. Now, Brigitte continues pursuing a life with the Divine, creating spaces for others to do the same.
Brigitte Piskura believes that all people are created in the image of God. As an affirming Christian, she is passionate about pursuing and enabling advocacy, agency, and identity through the lens of faith in Jesus, and radical inclusion in the modern church. She lives in California with her spouse, three kids, and the baby of the family, a rescue dog named Jack.
Professionally
Brigitte is a Certified Spiritual Director through Loyola Marymount University of Los Angeles and the Sisters of St Joseph of Orange in California.
She has over 15 years of experience in ministry spaces. A long standing community group leader for Q Christian Fellowship, Brigitte has also been the prayer team leader for their annual conference. Previously, Brigitte worked in the nonprofit sector in both secular and faith-based organizations, holding roles such board member, admin, and volunteer, organizing events, classes, and facilitating many meetings.
Having been on camera and given a microphone across many projects, Brigitte has facilitated sacred spaces, given speeches, and conducted breakouts in ministry settings.
